I was attending briefing by the two Japanese corporate leaders-CEO of Toshiba and Sony in Tokyo during my visit to Japan early week of March, 2011 and surprised to note that one them said that I am used to send my staff for leadership training based on the principle od Ibn Khaldun. Unfortunately none of the 57 Muslim countries has that training Institute- it is based in Colorado-Inpens....., USA. The best economic growth USA ever witnessed in last few decades was during the USA President Reagan's era. I am told that he used to carry Muqaddimah in his bag as pocket dictionary to refer to as policy guidelines for the USA economy. Muslims' lost economic power to others and West has benefited from Islamic scholars and civilisations. Our intellectuals go to the West to search for it by graduating from Western Business Schools. IIUM specially Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences are trying its best to reverse the direction. May Allah(swt) make it easy for us.
