Reem leads DinarStandard’s Travel and Tourism sector practice as well as the firm’s market strategy projects. She manages research projects, develops business strategies, and executes marketing campaigns for the firm. She has worked with clients such as Thomson Reuters, MasterCard, the Marriott, and the Office of the Prime Minister of Dubai.
Reem frequently speaks at industry events including ITB Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, and the Global Islamic Economy Summit.
Recent projects include delivering a tourism marketing strategy training workshop for national tourism authorities from OIC member countries, leading the team that implemented a Halal Travel Benefits Program in South East Asia for a global technology and payment processing firm, and authoring the Muslim Travel section of the annual State of the Global Islamic Economy Report from 2013 to 2021.
Before joining DinarStandard, Reem provided marketing consulting to small businesses in the US and held marketing and managerial positions and provided management training.
Reem is a Board Member at the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), a non-profit that provides objective research and education about American Muslims to support well-informed dialogue and decision-making.
Reem possesses a unique understanding of various cultures having worked with cultural exchange programs around the world from Canada and the United States to Egypt. Reem holds a BA in English from Ain Shams University in Cairo, as well as the CIM Advanced Marketing Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
